Admission of new shares to trading on AIM
and closure of offer for World Life Sciences PLC
Billam Plc ('Billam') announces that application has been made for an additional
7,745,211 new ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each to be admitted to trading on
AIM. These shares are being issued to World Life Sciences PLC ('WLS')
shareholders who have accepted Billam's offer for WLS subsequent to 7 February
2002.
Admission of these shares is expected to take place on 25 February 2002. These
shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares in issue.
The enlarged share capital of Billam after these shares have been admitted to
AIM is 1,171,173,909 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each.
The offer for World Life Sciences PLC was closed on 17 February 2002. As at
this date Billam owned or had received valid acceptances in respect of
424,836,502 WLS shares representing 97.2 per cent. of WLS's issued ordinary
share capital. Billam has now commenced proceedings to acquire compulsorily the
balance of 21,409,665 WLS shares that it does not already own.
