Billam Plc has been informed today that the Chairman of the Company, Simon
Bennett, has on 11 October 2006 acquired 25,000 ordinary shares of 20p each at a
price of 161/2 pence per share. Following this purchase, Mr Bennett holds 50,000
shares representing approximately 0.47 per cent. of the issued share capital of
the Company.
