The following replaces the Directors' shareholding announcement released at
11.40 on 12 April 2005 under RNS number 9402k. The original transposed the
directors' names. All other details remain unchanged and the full amended
announcement appears below.


The Board of Billam Plc today announced that the 343,250 Ordinary Shares of 20
pence generated by fractions in the consolidation on 8 April 2005 were placed
with existing shareholders on 11 April 2005 at the mid-market price of 28.5
pence.


Two directors of Billam Plc acquired shares in the placing as follows:
