The Board of Billam Plc today announced that the 343,250 Ordinary Shares of 20
pence generated by fractions in the consolidation on 8 April 2005 were placed
with existing shareholders on 11 April 2005 at the mid-market price of 28.5
pence.

Two directors of Billam Plc acquired shares in the placing as follows:
