                             SUSPENSION OF SHARES

The Directors of Billam PLC today requested that the ordinary shares of Billam
PLC be suspended from trading pending clarification of the Company's financial
position.

The  Directors of Billam have been investigating all possibilities of  raising
additional  funding to overcome the cash flow problems within the  Group.   On
account  of the protracted nature of these discussions, the Directors  believe
it to be in keeping with the AIM Rules that trading in the Company's shares be
suspended until a conclusion is reached.
