Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC
Appointment of Non-Executive Director
The board of Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC ('Dunedin Enterprise') is
pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Patrick as a non-executive director
with effect from 1 October 2003.
Mr Patrick has over thirty years experience in advising on corporate
transactions gained during his career with a leading Scottish law firm, Maclay
Murray & Spens, where he was Managing Partner from 1991 to 1994 and Senior
Partner from 2000 to 2003.
Commenting on the appointment, Ned Dawnay, Chairman of Dunedin Enterprise, said:
'I am delighted that Bruce Patrick has agreed to join us as a non-executive
director. His considerable knowledge and experience in corporate finance and
private equity will provide a valuable additional resource to our board'.

(a) Mr Patrick is currently director of Scotland Yard Adventure Centre;
(b) In the previous five years he has held directorships with Public Affairs
Europe Limited, Vindex Limited and Vindex Services Limited;
(c) From March 1998 to May 2001, he was a Director of Public Affairs Europe
Limited, which was voluntarily struck off in May 2001.

(1) Bruce Patrick
A graduate of Oxford and Edinburgh Universities, Bruce Patrick qualified as a
Scottish solicitor in 1973 when he joined a leading Scottish law firm, Maclay
Murray & Spens. He became a partner in 1976.
A corporate lawyer, he specialised in private equity, corporate recovery (he is
a licensed insolvency practitioner) and secured lending.
He was Managing Partner of the firm from 1991 to 1994 and Senior Partner from
2000 until his retirement this year. He remains a consultant to the firm.

Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC floated in 1987 as Melville Street
Investments.
Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC is managed by Dunedin Capital Partners
Limited. Dunedin Capital Partners Limited is an independent private equity
company owned by its directors. The company specialises in providing equity
finance for management buyouts, management buyins and growing businesses with a
transaction size of £10 - 50 million. It operates throughout the United Kingdom
from its headquarters in Edinburgh and offices in London.
Dunedin Capital Partners is itself the result of a management buyout which took
place in 1996.
