Investment in SWIP Private Equity Fund of Funds II PLC ('SWIP II PLC'or the '
Company')
• Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC has subscribed €22 million
(approx £15 million) for 22,000,000 C Ordinary shares of €1 each in the Company
• SWIP II PLC is incorporated in Ireland as a closed end investment
company with variable capital and authorised by the Financial Regulator pursuant
to Part XIII of the Companies Act 1990
• The Company has acquired a portfolio of 40 private equity fund
commitments from Scottish Widows plc in return for shares in the Company
• The Company's portfolio is managed by Scottish Widows Investment
Partnership Limited
• The portfolio comprises commitments to large pan-European buyout
funds, mid-market European buyout funds, European and US venture and bioscience
funds, a mezzanine and a secondaries fund
• The portfolio of fund commitments comprise vintage years 2000 to 2007
• SWIP II PLC will make commitments to further private equity funds over
the coming three years
