Purchase of own securities

Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust plc announced that on 20 January 2003 it
purchased for cancellation 15,000 ordinary shares in the market at a price of
197p per ordinary share. As a result of this purchase there remain 31,126,941
ordinary shares in issue.
