In accordance with UKLA Listing Rule 15.6.8 and on behalf of the investment trusts under its management, Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited announces the following portfolio disclosures as at 31 October 2009, in other UK listed investment companies (including investment trusts) which themselves do not have a stated investment policy to invest no more than 15% of their gross assets in other UK listed investment companies (including investment trusts):

At the close of business on 31 October 2009 the Company had portfolio protection in the form of two put options. The options protect 12.1% of the portfolio at a strike levels of 4100 and 4600 for the FTSE 100 Index . The 4100 option runs until 18 December 2009 while the 4600 option runs until 19 March 2010. At the 31 October the value of the option represented 0.15% of the Company's Gross Assets.
