The Company announces that on 24/05/05 it purchased in the market for
cancellation £1,000,000 nominal of its 7 7/8 Per Cent Debenture Stock 2019 ("2019
Debentures").

Following cancellation, £28,600,000 nominal of 2019 Debentures will remain in
issue together with £40,000,000 nominal of 11 ½ Per Cent Debenture Stock 2016.
