'At that time we said '... we would expect a stable geopolitical environment to allow us to generate pre tax profits in the current year that at least exceed the £52 million achieved last year' and this continues to be our view today. 'Load factors in the two remaining months of the year are holding steady in the high 80s. Yields remain under pressure. 'As previously indicated, work continues on reviewing our capacity growth and deployment and we will make a detailed statement before the end of the calendar year' END For further details please contact: easyJet plc Press: Toby Nicol, Corporate Communications +44 (0) 1582 525 339 Analysts: Chris Walton, Finance Director +44 (0) 1582 525 336 Cliff Hide, Investor Relations +44 (0) 1582 525 274 There will be an analyst and investor conference call at 0930 hours BST on 6 August 2004. Earned seats include seats that are flown whether or not the passenger turns up because easyJet is a no-refund airline, and once a flight has departed a no-show customer is generally not entitled to change flights or seek a refund. Earned seats also include seats provided for promotional purposes and to staff for business travel. 2. Represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of seats available for passengers. No weighting of the load factor is carried out to recognise the effect of varying flight (or 'stage') lengths. 3. Represents statutory revenue (unaudited) This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange
