('Thomson Intermedia' or 'the Company')
John Napier, Non Executive Chairman of Thomson Intermedia, will make the
following comments at the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held today:
'The value of sales contracts signed in the first quarter of this financial year
show an increase of 34% compared to the previous year, in line with
expectations. Our pipeline of quality prospects is strong and we continue to win
new business and maintain a high customer retention rate. Development of our
systems continues at a rapid pace with further efficiencies and product
developments gained. Costs and working capital continue to be tightly managed,
and our cash position remains healthy.
'Despite the continuing challenging market conditions, the Board remains
confident of meeting market expectations for the current financial year.'
