Thomson Intermedia wins exclusive media monitoring access to Trinity Mirror's
regional titles
Thomson Intermedia, a leading provider of media intelligence, has secured a
contract with Trinity Mirror plc, the UK's largest newspaper publisher, to
provide e-vouching services. 'E-vouchering' or 'online verification' is the
electronic proof of advertising and is supported by the major planning and
buying agencies.
This deal will ensure that Thomson Intermedia becomes the only media monitoring
company with direct access to the vast dataset of Trinity Mirror's regional
titles. This contract follows recent announcements that Thomson Intermedia had
also signed similar deals with Northcliffe, Newsquest and Johnston Press.
Thomson Intermedia's industry-standard e-vouchering system will sit on the
desktops of media agency teams across the UK and can be extended to provide a
platform for further communication tools between media owners and agencies.
Gary McNish, Managing Director of Amra, Trinity Mirror's national sales
operation for the regions, said:
'We chose Thomson because they have the best product in the market. We look
forward to being part of what will be a single common platform for e-vouchering
across the regional press.'
Sarah Jane Thomson, Joint Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Intermedia, said:
'Obtaining exclusive media monitoring access to Trinity Mirror's extensive
portfolio of regional titles significantly extends our capabilities, making us
the largest and fastest provider of press monitoring services.
'Furthermore, it is a definitive endorsement of our services and systems which
aim to provide greater insight and efficiency for advertisers. 'Vouching' is
also a highly flexible product and as such provides a platform for future
growth.'
