June 13, 2007: Independent Resources plc, the AIM-quoted natural gas storage and
exploration company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Seymour Pierce as
its broker with immediate effect.

The appointment follows an update last month which reported progress on the
company's planned gas storage project at Rivara in northern Italy, as well as at
Fiume Bruna on the Italian north-west coast, where it is assessing a potential
coal bed methane development, and at its Ksar Hadada exploration site in
Tunisia.

The company said that during the second half of 2007 it would continue to raise
its profile within the London investment community.

It added it was also looking forward to presenting shareholders with further
positive news during the months ahead.

Deloitte Corporate Finance will continue in its role as the company's nominated
adviser.
