("Eckoh" or "the Company")
Eckoh secures two three year contracts in the Utility Sector
Bristol Wessex Billing Services Limited
Eckoh (AIM: ECK), the UK's leading provider of speech recognition and associated payment solutions across voice, web and mobile channels, is pleased to announce it has been selected by three water companies, including Bristol Wessex Billing Services Limited ("BWBSL"), to provide the EckohPAY secure card payments solution.
BWBSL is the combined billing service jointly owned by Bristol Water and Wessex Water, which serves 1,100,000 customers. The third water company, based in the South of England, supplies water services to approximately half a million people.
Both of these new contracts are three years in duration and through the provision of EckohPAY, Eckoh's real-time PCI DSS compliant card payment service, they will allow customers to make their water bill payments 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service will securely authenticate the caller, guide them through to making a payment in real-time and complete the call on successful authorisation.
Nik Philpot, Chief Executive Officer of Eckoh commented:
"The success and customer satisfaction levels being experienced by our growing number of utility clients are a perfect example of how applying our technology to a repetitive process makes sense for all parties. In the last year alone we have processed payment transactions worth over £117 million in the utility sector and we look forward to developing our service further with these three water companies and extending the use of our technology to other parts of their businesses."
