Eckoh renews speech recognition agreement with BT until 2014
Eckoh, the UK's leading provider of customer service solutions using speech recognition, and BT, today announced the renewal of their strategic relationship for the provision of hosted speech recognition solutions to BT customers for a further 3 years.
BT's renewal of the agreement recognises Eckoh's experience and capability in the delivery of hosted speech recognition services to a number of BT Global Services' corporate customers. The original contract with BT was signed in 2003, addressing the growing opportunity for automated self-service.
Over the past eight years Eckoh's solutions helped numerous BT customers transform their business operations through the introduction of speech recognition solutions.
Andrew Small, director of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) at BT Global Services, said: "BT is a leading provider of contact centre solutions to both global enterprises and public sector organisations. The extension of our agreement with Eckoh adds an additional dimension to our overall portfolio offering. It ensures that we can offer BT's customers another option to make contact with their customers in a way that best suits their business needs. It is a real challenge facing many organisations and the Eckoh proposition has an important role to play in meeting this challenge."
Nik Philpot, Chief Executive Officer of Eckoh, commented: "Today's businesses are under increasing pressure to improve efficiency and reduce costs but without compromising customer satisfaction. A hosted solution from Eckoh delivers clients a compelling return on investment, a significant reduction in operational costs and improves customer experience and loyalty. We look forward to building on the success we have already achieved with BT over the last eight years and generating exciting new business opportunities from within their customer base."
