Eckoh Technologies wins 3-year voice portal
contract from Centrica Telecommunications
Eckoh Technologies plc, Europe's leading speech application service provider,
(formerly known as 365 Corporation plc), has secured a 3-year contract to build
and maintain a voice portal for Centrica Telecommunications. The voice portal,
launched under the brand name Purple Duck, is a value added service for the
mobile product launched through the One.Tel brand. Phase 2 of the development
of Purple Duck will see the product offered to the One.Tel fixed line customer
base.
The voice portal offers a variety of up-to-date speech-activated news, sports
and entertainment content. In addition the service includes Eckoh Technologies'
mobile email reader allowing One.Tel mobile customers to listen and reply to
emails (including web mail providers such as Hotmail) at any time day or night.
Calls to Purple Duck will cost 20p per minute.

Under the terms of the deal with Centrica Telecommunications, Eckoh Technologies
will design, build and host the voice portal application, provide ongoing system
maintenance and content provision.

over 6,000 businesses in the UK and Ireland under the "Symphony Telecom" brand.
It has developed a distribution network focussed on resellers of telephone
systems, and has national UK coverage with a particular emphasis on South East
