Eckoh Technologies plc
Vue Cinemas contract renewal and win
Eckoh Technologies plc ("Eckoh"), one of Europe's leading providers of
outsourced automated solutions, is pleased to announce it has successfully
renegotiated its contract to provide a speech-enabled cinema information and
ticket booking service to Vue Entertainment, the UK's leading developer and
operator of state-of-the-art cinemas.
As part of the new agreement, Eckoh will also be supplying the contact call
centre operation and this extended service now provides Vue with a true end to
end telephony solution for their cinema business. The new exclusive contract
runs until July 2009.
Vue Entertainment is the one of the UK's largest operators of modern multiplex
cinemas in the country. Vue's circuit has now reached a landmark of 58 cinemas
with over 550 screens.
The cinema information and ticket booking service was originally launched in May
2004 and provides Vue with a one-number telephone solution for its group of
cinemas. The service is hosted on Eckoh's 10,000 line call processing platform
and receives over 3 million calls every year from Vue's customers.
Nik Philpot, Chief Executive Officer of Eckoh Technologies, commented:
"Vue were one of the first clients we worked with to launch a truly mass market
speech recognition enabled service so it's really satisfying that the success of
the service has meant that we're now in a position to extend our business
relationship to 2009. We're pleased to have extended the reach of the service we
provide Vue and the addition of the contact centre demonstrates Eckoh's
intention of providing a full outsourced solution to our clients."
Roland Jones, IT Director at Vue commented:
"Eckoh has proven to be absolutely the right supplier of choice for Vue and has
delivered an extremely high quality level of service since we first launched. We
are consequently delighted to renew our contract with them. Their overall
approach and attention to detail gives us great confidence that the new contact
centre will also prove to be a huge success."
