PURCHASE OF ECOPHARMA INC. IN JAPAN
ECO Animal Health Group plc is pleased to announce that its subsidiary ECO
Animal Health Limited (ECO) has completed the purchase of the 80 per cent of the
share capital of Ecopharma Inc.( Ecopharma) that it did not already own. The
consideration of Yen 180 million (£1,234,612 at £1 = Yen 145.79) has been
satisfied in full from the Group's cash resources.
This acquisition strengthens ECO's position in the important Japanese market
where Tokyo based Ecopharma is a major distributor of pharmaceutical products
for animals including Aivlosin®, ECO's patented macrolide antibiotic.
