The Board of Lawrence was informed yesterday in accordance with sections 198  to
202  of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended), that Fidelity International Limited
(FIL),   on   behalf  of  certain  of  its  direct  and  indirect  subsidiaries,
collectively and non-beneficially purchased 384,406 Lawrence ordinary shares  of
5p  each  and  accordingly  now  has  a holding  of  3,024,403  ordinary  shares
representing approximately 11.3 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
