Talks re Possible Merger

Eagles  plc  ('Eagles' or 'the Company') is currently in  talks  with  another
Super League club which may or may not lead to a merger between the two clubs,
and  which  may  or may not lead to an offer being made for the entire  issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.

At  this stage the Company cannot make any assessment of the certainty or  the
valuation of Eagles in the context of any possible merger or offer.

It is expected that a further announcement will be made shortly.
