Anglo Pacific Group plc (the 'Company') announces that it has allotted a further
500,000 ordinary shares in the Company pursuant to the exercise of share options
under the terms of the Anglo Pacific Unapproved Executive Share Option Scheme.

Application has been made for these shares to be admitted to listing and it is
expected that dealings will commence on 10 December 2002.
