                           Directors' Share Purchases


Anglo Pacific Group plc ('the Company') announces that Mr Anthony Yadgaroff,
Non-Executive Director, bought on 25th April 2007 6,000 shares in the Company at
a price of 141.0p per share. Following this notification his revised beneficial
interest in the Company is now 155,632 shares representing approximately 0.15%
of the issued ordinary share capital.


In addition, Mr Matthew Tack, Finance Director, bought on 25th April 2007 2,000
shares in the Company at a price of 140.72p per share. Following this
notification his revised beneficial interest in the Company is now 15,824 shares
representing approximately 0.02% of the issued ordinary share capital.
