Anglo Pacific Group plc ('the Company') announces that, effective 3rd March
2003, it has appointed Mr John Whellock and Mr Anthony Yadgaroff as
non-executive directors of the Company. There is no further information required
to be disclosed with regard to the aforementioned pursuant to Chapter 16.4 of
the Listing Rules.

The Company also announces that Mr Michael Chanarin has resigned as a
non-executive director effective 3rd March 2003. The Board would like to thank
Mr Chanarin for his contribution to the affairs of the Company and wishes him
well in his future business career.
