The Company was informed on 26 May 2006 that Terrence Strapp, Chairman, through
the nominee account of SDG Nominees Pty Ltd, purchased 50,000 ordinary shares of
Mercator Gold (the 'Shares') at an average price of 76.76 pence per Share on 24
May 2006. Subsequent to this purchase, Terrence Strapp holds a total of 345,000
Shares, representing 0.65% of the issued share capital of the Company,.
