London - Tuesday 14 November 2006 - Under sections 198 to 202 of the Companies
Act 1985 the following information falls to be disclosed:



The Company was notified on 10 November 2006 that St Barbara Limited ('SBL')
ceased to have an interest in the share capital of the Company.



SBL became the Company's largest shareholder at the time of the acquisition of
the Meekatharra assets in January 2006. The shares had been held in escrow under
an agreement between SBL and the Company. The Company agreed to facilitate the
sale of the shares which were placed by the Company's brokers to a range of
existing and new shareholders.



Managing Director, Mr Patrick Harford said:



'This sale represents a strong vote of confidence in the Company's purchase of
the Meekatharra gold assets and substantially increases the liquidity of our
shares. We wish SBL well and thank new and existing shareholders for their
support.'
