The Board of the Edinburgh Investment Trust plc reported on 22 May that it had
decided to review its investment manager Edinburgh Fund Managers plc ("EFM").


It now announces that, as a result of this review, Fidelity Investments
International has been appointed investment manager and secretary of the Company
with effect from 1 August 2002. The contract with EFM has been terminated with
effect from 31 July 2002.


The terms of the agreement with Fidelity provide for an annual management fee of
0.26% of the value of funds under management and for a three-month notice period
after nine months.
