On 25 February 2000, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
210,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 492.06p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 269,117,364 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
