On 21 February 2000, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
6,000,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 480.0p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 269,522,364 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
