On 15 February 2000, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
445,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 481p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 275,992,364 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
