On 1 February 2001, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
600,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 531p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 254,536,714 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
