On 19 March 2001, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
250,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 470p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 253,386,714 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
