EDINBURGH WORLDWIDE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

Appointment of Donald Cameron and Helen James as Non-executive Directors of the Company.

The Board of Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Cameron and Helen James as Non-executive Directors of the Company with immediate effect.

Donald Cameron, who is 34, is an advocate at the Scottish Bar and is also a qualified barrister in England and Wales.

Helen James, who is 40, is the managing director of Investis, specialists in providing online corporate communications services. Helen previously worked at HSBC and Paribas.

The appointment of Mr Cameron and Mrs James falls to be ratified by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held on Thursday 3 February 2011.

There is no other information required to be disclosed under section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in respect of either Mr Cameron or Mrs James.
