Directorate change

The Board of Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Henry Strutt as a Non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 November 2011.

Mr Strutt qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 following which he spent over 20 years with the Robert Fleming Group, seventeen of which were in the Far East.

Mr Strutt is currently a non-executive director of Smith & Williamson Holdings Ltd.

There is no other information required to be disclosed under section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
