Appointment of Director

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Mungo Wilson as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 8 December 2016.

Mr Wilson, a former solicitor, is Associate Professor of Finance at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He is also an associate member of the Oxford Man Institute of Quantitative Finance.

The Chairman of Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc, David Reid said: "Mr Wilson is truly enquiring and engaging and should prove to be a useful contributor to the collective undertakings of the Board. I and my colleagues are delighted that he has agreed to join us."

The appointment of Mr Wilson falls to be ratified by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held in January 2017.

There is no further information required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
