Board Appointment
Eleco Plc announces the appointment today of Craig Slater as a Director and Chief Operating Officer.
John Ketteley, Executive Chairman of Eleco, said:
"Craig Slater is an experienced executive with particular skills in change management and performance improvement. He has demonstrated excellent strategic leadership in companies in which he has been involved as CFO, COO or CEO. This contributed to significant improvement in their performance in each case and in shareholder value, in the case of Avonside Group plc, Robotic Technology Systems plc and 4imprint Group plc. He has extensive experience of the building products sector, including the manufacture and supply of branded products and building components.
Craig Slater's appointment as Chief Operating Officer is a welcome strengthening of our management team. My colleagues and I look forward very much to working with him."

Craig Slater
Background
Craig Slater, 46, has had a successful and varied industrial career during which he has served a number of companies as CEO, COO and CFO. He has led two flotations, a "take private", a demerger and a number of turnarounds. He has also negotiated numerous acquisitions and disposals.
Craig was educated at Lancaster University (First Class Honours in Mathematics and Finance), Arthur Andersen (ACA placed 7th in finals) and Henley Management College (MBA).

1988 - 1992 CSI plc MD of various subsidiaries
CSI was a listed "incubator" for small businesses seeking to prepare themselves for subsequent flotation.
1992 - 2001 Avonside Group plc (floated out of CSI plc) CFO then CEO
Avonside was a listed building services, building products and house building group, taken private with Alchemy Partners for £22m.
2001 - 2004 4imprint Group plc Group CFO and COO
4imprint is a listed global provider of promotional items engaged in direct marketing, franchising and corporate program channels.
2004 - 2007 Robotic Technology Systems plc Group CFO
Robotic Technology Systems is an AIM listed automation services group. INS plc was demerged and separately listed on AIM, subsequently acquired by Babcock plc for the equivalent of 63p per share of Robotic Technology Systems plc.
2006 - 2009 Altitude Group plc NED then CEO
Altitude is an AIM listed marketing services group. Craig was appointed CEO in 2007.
2003 - Present CORGI Group Limited NED then Chairman
CORGI was the HSE-appointed gas regulator and has latterly been involved in a series of commercial activities in the heating and plumbing industries.
