                           ISSUE OF REDEEMABLE B SHARES


Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for 478,654,400 new redeemable B shares to be admitted to the Official
List. It is expected that admission of the redeemable B shares will become
effective and dealings in them will commence on 2 November 2005. The new
redeemable B shares will rank pari passu with the existing redeemable B shares.
