Notification of transactions by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities


In accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(i) of the Disclosure Rules sourcebook
the Company announces that:


 1. On 31 March 2006 Walker Allen exercised 117,641 options at 69.5p; and 132,208
    options at 56.5p over ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the capital of the
    Company. The total number of options now held by Walker Allen are 486,472.


 2. On 4 April 2006 the following options were granted over ordinary shares of 5
    pence each in the capital of the Company pursuant to the rules of the
    Elementis plc 2003 Unapproved Executive Share Option Scheme at the exercise
    price of 85.5p.

3. On 4 April 2006 Jennifer Murphy was granted options over 23,538 ordinary
