Jim Ratcliffe Resigns from the Board

                     BOARD CHANGE AT ELEMENTIS plc

Elementis plc announces that Jim Ratcliffe, a non-executive director,
has resigned from the Board in order to focus on his role as Chairman
and Chief Executive of Ineos plc following its recent acquisition of
ICI Acrylics.  Mr Ratcliffe's resignation is effective from today.
