Empire Metals Limited ('Empire' or the 'Company')

Commencement of Work Programme at Eclipse Gold Project

Empire Metals Limited, the AIM-quoted resource exploration and development company, is pleased to announce that it has commenced field work at the high-grade Eclipse gold mining licence, located 55km north-east of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia ('Eclipse' or the 'Project').

Overview:

· Phased work programme commenced at Eclipse, initially with systematic soil sampling and geochemistry

· 490 samples planned over the north-eastern and south-western areas of the licence, testing the areas adjacent to existing geochemistry results

· Soils / geochemistry results expected by end September

· Designed to test potential mineralisation at two additional targets north-west of Eclipse, the Houdini and Easy prospects

· Soil sampling represents the first phase of the work programme to include:

· Ground magnetic survey and sub audio magnetic survey

· Structural geological interpretation and mapping

· Reverse circulation drilling

Mike Struthers, CEO, said: "We're very pleased to have started our fieldwork at Eclipse.  Historical production records from the Project were well preserved, and together with recent geophysics and drilling we already have robust understanding of the gold mineralisation and the potential for significant high-grade gold resource development. With this in mind, we have high expectations for the results over the coming weeks and months during our option period and look forward to providing further updates in due course."
