AIM listed Empyrean, the oil and gas explorer and producer with assets in
Germany and the USA, today announces the following:

Raun # 1 well

The operator has advised that production testing of the two zones referred to in
the Company's release of 10th January 2008 recovered only minor amounts of gas.
The well will now be plugged and abandoned.

The information contained in this announcement was completed and reviewed by the
Technical Director of Empyrean Energy Plc, Mr Frank Brophy BSc (Hons) who has
over 40 years experience as a petroleum geologist.
