Empyrean Energy Plc, the oil and gas explorer and producer with assets in Germany and the USA provides the following update on operations on Block A which is part of the Sugarkane Gas and Condensate Field:
TCEI JV Block A-4 Well
Empyrean has been advised by Texas Crude Energy Inc ('TCEI') that a coil tubing unit has arrived to the TCEI JV Block A-4 well in order to commence procedures to flow back and clean up the well to remove drilling fluids/mud and conduct a production flow test.
The well intersected at least 1500 feet of high gas readings and gas flares during drilling of the horizontal portion of the well in the target upper chalk zone. The operator has commenced drilling fluid clean up and flow back operations to recover drilling mud.
Empyrean has a working interest of 7.5% in this well.
Further updates will be provided as flow test data is received over the coming days.
The information contained in this announcement was completed and reviewed by the Technical Director of Empyrean Energy Plc, Mr Frank Brophy BSc (Hons) who has over 40 years experience as a petroleum geologist.
