SHARE OPTION EXERCISES BY EMPLOYEES

We have today been notified by the Trustee of the Enterprise Oil Employee
Worldwide Benefit Trust, of a transfer out of the trust of 14,604 ordinary
shares in the capital of the company following the exercise of a share option
by an employee.  The shares were sold in the market today at a price of
570.7449 pence per share. 

The Directors, A R Armour, I G Craig, Sir Graham Hearne, P H Jungels, A B
Shilston and K P Watts, as holders of share options, are technically
interested in the shares held by the trust.
