Expro International Group PLC

New contract wins of £50million for Expro
Expro International Group PLC, the UK's leading oilfield
services company, announced today contract awards of £50m.
The Company provides products and services for production
optimisation of existing fields, deepwater field development
and production of small fields.
The two largest orders relate to small field production
projects, one in Iran for Shell (£18m) and the other for
Brovig in Tunisia (£10m), both due to commence in the summer
of 2001.
The Soroosh field is offshore Iran, where Expro has teamed up
with joint venture partner Swire Pacific to provide and
operate an early production system. The joint venture
interest was formerly held by PTI, which was acquired by Expro
earlier this year. This contract represents Expro's first
major step into the market in the Middle East.
Expro will provide and operate the production facilities for
Brovig on board their FPSO to be installed in the Isis field
offshore Tunisia.
Expro have secured a major field rejuvenation project in
Kazakhstan with Baker Hughes for the Agip/BG consortium, with
an initial value to Expro of £9m.
Other contract awards include BP Colombia, Sante Fe Indonesia
and Chevron Equatorial Guinea.
John Dawson the CEO said 'We have been working on these
projects for many months, we knew our client commitment was
there, but now to see them converted to orders unfolding over
the next few years means the industry is now getting back to
work. We saw this six months ago in North America but it is
heartening to see confidence spreading to other global
markets'.
