Appointment of Non-Executive Directors
Regal is pleased to announce the appointments of Professor Christopher David
Green and Dr Rex Gaisford as Non-Executive Directors of Regal.
Professor Green (aged 56) is an explorationist and a qualified Geophysicist with
over 32 years industry experience including 24 years at subsidiaries of Shell,
the oil major, where he held various senior positions until his departure in
1998 as a Principal Geophysicist and Global Shell Group Advisor. From 1998 to
2001 Professor Green was a Director of Strategic Development and Geosciences at
Racal Electronics PLC, from 2001 to 2004 he was the Chief Technical Officer of
Thales Geosolutions Group Ltd and from 1996 to 2004 he was Professor of
Geophysics at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Professor Green has a
Bachelor of Science, a Masters of Science and a PhD from the University of
Dundee. Professor Green was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society
and a Fellow of the Geological Society, and is a Member of the Institute of
Petroleum and a Member of the European Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
Professor Green's appointment is effective from 1 May 2005.
Dr Gaisford (aged 65) is a qualified mechanical engineer with over 30 years
experience in the oil and gas industry, where he specialised in large scale
project development, operations and business development, including 12 years at
Amerada Hess Corporation, where he was Executive Vice-President and Director
before retiring in 2000, 3 years as Managing Director of Beatrice Resources
Limited and 7 years as General Manager of Britoil PLC. In 2000 Dr Gaisford
founded the RCM Group, an online recruitment business, where he is currently
Executive Chairman. From 1996 until 2002 he was a Non-Executive Director of the
UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). Dr Gaisford holds a Bachelor of Science and
a PhD from Manchester University. Dr Gaisford was elected a Fellow of the Royal
Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, a Fellow of
the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Institute of Petroleum and was
awarded a Commander, Order of the British Empire (CBE) in June 1995. Dr
Gaisford's appointment is effective from 1 May 2005.
The Board of Regal now comprises of the following directors:

Commenting on the appointment Frank Timis, Executive Chairman, said:
