Appointment of Directors
Regal is pleased to announce the appointments of Sir Peter Heap KCMG as
Non-Executive Director and Interim Chairman of Regal and Richard F P Hardman CBE
as Executive Director responsible for Exploration.
Sir Peter Heap is a former specialist adviser to numerous companies including
HSBC Investment Bank, Amerada Hess plc and the BOC Group. Prior to his advisory
roles Sir Peter was with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office of the British
Government for over 36 years, including being the Ambassador in Brazil
(1992-1995), Senior Trade Commissioner in Hong Kong (1989-1992), British High
Commissioner, Bahamas (1983-1986), as well as the Head of Energy Department
(1980-1983). His appointment is with immediate effect.
Richard Hardman is an explorationist and a qualified Geologist with over 40
years industry experience with oil majors including 10 years at BP, 11 years at
AMOCO, 3 years at Superior Oil and 18 years at Amerada Hess. Since 2001 Richard
has been working as a senior consultant to various oil and gas companies
including Enterprise Oil, Neptune, FX Energy Inc and Atlantic Petroleum UK
Limited. He is the former Chairman of both the Petroleum Group of the Geological
Society and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain and the former
President of the Geological Society. His appointment is with immediate effect.
