The Company was notified on 8 October 2004 by Henderson Global Investors and its
associated companies, acting as agent for its discretionary clients, ('Henderson
Global Investors') that, following a purchase of the Company's ordinary 5p
shares ('Ordinary Shares'), Henderson Global Investors has an interest in
11,613,739 Ordinary Shares representing 10.05 per cent. of the issued Ordinary
Share capital.


In addition, the Company was notified on 8 October 2004 that TR European Growth
has an interest in 4,000,000 Ordinary Shares representing 3.46 per cent. of the
issued Ordinary Share capital.
