Motor Development Contract Signed with H55
Equipmake, the UK-based engineering specialist pioneering the development and production of electrification products across the automotive, aerospace, bus, coach and off-highway industries, is pleased to announce that the Company has secured a contract for the next phase of its electric motor development contract with H55, a leading electric aerospace propulsion company, as envisaged in the collaboration agreement announced on 26 June 2023.
Overview:
· Initial contract for a total of approximately £715,000 for the development of an electric motor, based on H55 specifications.
· H55 intends to initially commercialise a 100kW fully certified Electric Propulsion System for its customer project with BRM AERO, on a two-seater electric trainer, the Bristell B23 Energic aircraft, with Equipmake providing the motor and H55 the certified motor controller.
· Contract follows an initial development and test phase of Equipmake's lightweight, power dense, high-performance state-of-the art electric motors specifically designed for electric aircraft.
· Certification is planned for the end of 2024 with production expected to commence in 2025.
· The contract sets out that £315,000 of work will be deliverable by the end of May 2024, with the balance delivered by the end of the calendar year.
