APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR - COATED & SECURITY PRODUCTS DIVISION

Filtrona plc ("Filtrona" or "the Company") today announces the appointment of Alison Evans as Managing Director - Coated & Security Products, with immediate effect. 

Alison joined Filtrona in 1998 as Finance Director of the PP Payne business, following which she was appointed to the role of Divisional Finance Director - Coated & Security Products in 2008.  Alison assumed the position of acting Managing Director - Coated & Security Products in January 2013, leading the division through the recent acquisition of Contego Healthcare Limited ("Contego").

In her permanent role as Managing Director, Alison will be responsible for building and maintaining the division's pipeline of growth opportunities consistent with Filtrona's Vision 2015 objectives, as well as for the continued successful integration of Contego.

Alison will report to Colin Day, Chief Executive of Filtrona, and will join the Company's Group Management Committee.
