Drilling Update
Eurasia Mining PLC, the AIM quoted company active in South Africa and Russia, is
pleased to announce that it has completed the first three holes in a planned six
hole diamond drilling programme at its Kluevsky Palladium Gold Project on the
Baronskoye Licence area in the Urals.
Previous drilling at Kluevsky has intersected ore grades similar to those that
have formed the basis for large scale open pit mining in parts of Eastern Canada
where ore reserves grading 1.5 grams/tonne (g/t) palladium are mined.
The new holes are located on three traverses covering a strike length of 320
meters east of the previously reported intersections in hole KD 14, (containing
25.5 meters grading 1.41g/t Platinum Group Elements + Gold); and in the vicinity
of KD 9 (containing 10.56meters at 3.96 g/t PGE + Gold).
The purpose of the current traverse drilling is to provide closer spaced
definition of potential near surface mining blocks and to provide additional
sample for preliminary metallurgical assessment.
At Eurasia's Baranchinsky project, also in the Urals, pitting is in progress to
test the bedrock for platinum mineralization beneath previously reported strong
soil geochem anomalies. Outcomes of this work will be used to plan follow-up
drilling. The anomalies at Baranchinsky, with individual values exceeding 2g/t
Platinum, contrast significantly with the palladium-gold dominant anomalies
which overlie the Kluevsky/Baronskoye occurrences and highlight the potential
for near surface bedrock platinum mineralisation.
Samples from both the Kluevsky drilling and Baranchinsky pitting will be
dispatched to Canada for assay on the completion of the field programme in
August. Results will be reported as they become available.
